Synopsis
In The Twice-Dead King: Ruin, we meet the bitter exiled necron Lord Oltyx, and follow his journey to take down his betrayers and reclaim his birthright, all while fighting off a massive host of orks. Oltyx faces a new menace in The Twice-Dead King: Reign – ruling over a faded dynasty and dealing with the Flayer's Curse. Meanwhile, a fresh threat attempts to take everything away from him again – a barbaric alien war-cult known as the Imperium of Man. Severed brings us to the vaunted Sautekh dynasty, where the Stormlord himself has charged Zahndrekh and Vargard Obyron with putting down a rebellion. 'One Million Years' pits the eternal necrons against the ambitious Leagues of Votann aboard an awakening necron ship. 'The Life of Jethras the Martyr' takes us to the other side to see how a lowly pilgrim found a moment of glory in fighting back against the hated necrons. Finally, 'Patience' tells the story of a Voidborn crewman who encounters Astartes, necrons, and... something else for the first time – and lives to tell the tale.
